Will& Grace review- rusty revival feels worn out in the era of Trump

The 90 s sitcom felt groundbreaking in the working day, but two decades on, the old mob struggle to find their residence. Still, the reboot deserves a chance

It’s a towering task asking viewers to feign Will and Grace never ran their disconnected modes or had children, and surely there were spaces the creators, David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, could have stuck to their original finale and still caused a fitting resuscitation.

But it operates principally because the foursome is as sprightly and dynamic as ever, especially when onscreen together, exchanging jibes and wordplay. If the first escapade is everything you wished the reboot wouldn’t be, pay it some time. After all, even classics like Will& Grace need some time to shake off the rust.
