The Fab Five are now Emmy winners.
Netflix’s “Queer Eye” won the Emmy for Best Structured Reality Program, overpowering out “Shark Tank, ” “Antiques Roadshow, ” “Fixer Upper, ” “Who Do You Fantasize You Are? ” and “Lip Sync Battle.”
“This show is so important, thank you for what this fab five are doing to help the LGBT movement, ” creator and executive make David Collins said while accepting the give, according to Deadline .
The makeover series, a reboot of Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, ” also took home Emmys for Best Casting for a Structured Reality Program and for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program.
The cast includes: Jonathan Van Ness( grooming expert ), Antoni Porowski( nutrient and wine expert ),~ ATAGEND Bobby Berk( interior design expert ), Karamo Brown( culture expert );and Tan France( mode expert ).
The original barrier-busting “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, ” which loped from 2003 to 2007, won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program in 2004.
The revival premiered in February, started the work of its second season in June, and was revamped for a third season, which began filming this summer in Kansas City, Missouri , and will air next year.
The 70 th annual Emmy Awards were handed out over the weekend at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. A telecast of the gifts will air Saturday night, September 15, on FXX.
