Charmian Carr- Liesl von Trapp in The Announce of Music- dies, aged 73

The actor, who performed Sixteen Departing on Seventeen in the 1965 movie, said beings should consider singing the musicals songs like going to a therapist

Charmian Carr, who played Liesl von Trapp in The Racket of Music, has died at persons under the age of 73.

The actors spokesman said she died on Saturday in Los Angeles, of complications from a rare form of dementia.

Carr was best known for her capacity in the Rodgers and Hammersteins 1965 cinema, in which she performed the psalm Sixteen Exiting On Seventeen. She was a college student when she auditioned for the film, which also starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.

Ted Chapin, chairman of the Rodgers and Hammerstein organisation, said in a statement: Its always happy when a member of their own families guides away and in the case of the family of the movie The Din of Music, its specially happy when it is the first of the group to go.

Charmian Carr played the oldest von Trapp child, and in some ways she was held that role in real life lead, encouraging, supportive and generally being there for the rest of her sisters and brothers.

Carr was born in Chicago in 1942. Her mother was a vaudeville actress, and her father was a musician and orchestra commander. Her pedigree moved to the San Fernando Valley when she was a child.

When she receded from playing, she set up an interior design business in southern California. Her purchasers included Michael Jackson and Sound of Music screenwriter Ernest Lehman.

2oth Century Fox paid tribute to Carr on Twitter, penning: The Sound of Music lost a beloved is part of their own families w/ the go of Charmian Carr. She will be forever missed.

Seth MacFarlane, the actor and chairman, wrote: So very saddened to hear of the death of Charmian Carr. She leaves behind one of the most memorable conducts in movie history.

Carr is subsisted by her four siblings, her two children and four grandchildren. She is also survived by the six other actors who became part of cinematic biography when they were shed as the von Trapp children.
