Charmian Carr- Liesl von Trapp in The Announce of Music- dies, aged 73

The actor, who performed Sixteen Going on Seventeen in the 1965 movie, said beings should consider singing the musicals ballads like going to a therapist

Charmian Carr, who played Liesl von Trapp in The Chime of Music, has died at persons under the age of 73.

The actors spokesman said she died on Saturday in Los Angeles, of complications from a rare form of dementia.

Carr was best known for her persona in the Rodgers and Hammersteins 1965 film, in which she play-act the chant Sixteen Moving On Seventeen. She was a college student when she auditioned for the movie, which likewise starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.

Ted Chapin, president of the Rodgers and Hammerstein organisation, said in a statement: Its always happy when the states members of the family delivers away and in the case of the family of the movie The Seem of Music, its specially happy when it is the first of the group to go.

Charmian Carr played the oldest von Trapp child, and in some ways she was held that character in real life direct, applauding, supporting and generally being there for the rest of her sisters and brothers.

Carr was born in Chicago in 1942. Her mother was a vaudeville actress, and her father was a musician and orchestra lead. Her family moved to the San Fernando Valley when she was a child.

When she withdrew from acting, she set up an interior design business in south California. Her patrons included Michael Jackson and Sound of Music screenwriter Ernest Lehman.

2oth Century Fox paid tribute to Carr on Twitter, letter: The Sound of Music lost a beloved member of their own families w/ the extend of Charmian Carr. She will be forever missed.

Seth MacFarlane, the actor and director, wrote: So very saddened to hear of the death of Charmian Carr. She leaves behind one of the most memorable actions in movie history.

Carr is subsisted by her four siblings, her two children and four grandchildren. She is also survived by the six other actors who became part of cinematic record when they were threw as the von Trapp children.
