Charmian Carr- Liesl von Trapp in The Chime of Music- dies, aged 73

The actor, who performed Sixteen Travelling on Seventeen in the 1965 movie, said beings should consider singing the musicals sungs like going to a therapist

Charmian Carr, who played Liesl von Trapp in The Din of Music, has died at persons under the age of 73.

The actors spokesman said she died on Saturday in Los Angeles, of complications from a rare form of dementia.

Carr was good known for her role in the Rodgers and Hammersteins 1965 film, in which she acted the ballad Sixteen Moving On Seventeen. She was a college student when she auditioned for the film, which likewise starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.

Ted Chapin, chairman of the Rodgers and Hammerstein organisation, said in a statement: Its ever pathetic when the states members of the family extends away and in the case of the family of the movie The Resonate of Music, its especially heartbreaking when it is the first of the group to go.

Charmian Carr played the oldest von Trapp child, and in some ways she was held that persona in real life direct, clapping, supportive and generally being there for the rest of her sisters and brothers.

Carr was born in Chicago in 1942. Her mother was a vaudeville actress, and her father was a musician and orchestra ruler. Her house moved to the San Fernando Valley when she was a child.

When she receded from playing, she set up an interior design business in south California. Her buyers included Michael Jackson and Sound of Music screenwriter Ernest Lehman.

2oth Century Fox paid tribute to Carr on Twitter, pen: The Sound of Music lost a beloved member of their own families w/ the go of Charmian Carr. She will be forever missed.

Seth MacFarlane, the actor and chairman, wrote: So very saddened to hear of the death of Charmian Carr. She leaves behind one of the most memorable achievements in movie history.

Carr is subsisted by her four siblings, her two children and four grandchildren. She is also subsisted by the six other actors who became part of cinematic biography once they are threw as the von Trapp children.
