Amazing, right? But not actually that extraordinary. Goodson and Bozeman arent outliers; theyre representative of a more design-savvy, Instagram-image-conscious generation. You can never be too rich or too thin or have too many pillows, apparently. Pillows have proliferated at an alarming proportion in recent years. Whats more, many of them mix the above directions: they coincide and have a motivational word on them.

French may be the language of affection but its also the eternal speech of trying to phone sophisticated. While previous generations may have put up a framed vintage French film sign, todays teenagers have a pillow with Cest La Vie on it or Paris plastered over their pillow or a wall decal of the Eiffel Tower. The takeout from this? While todays girls have graduated from dog-eared posters and Ikea lamps, theyre still desperately trying to impress each other. Plus a change.
